Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)

Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) is a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit specializing in the pre and post surgical care of patients requiring general surgery, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, orthopedic surgery, bariatric surgery and some types of vascular surgery.  SICU also provides care for cardiac non-surgical and medical patients requiring intensive care.

SICU is also the designated Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for Trinity Medical Center. Patient age population in SICU begins at greater than one year of age with most pediatric patients being in the 13-18 year age group.

The staff of SICU is trained in Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.  The staff is also trained to use the most advanced state-of-the-art equipment for patient care.

Visiting hours for SICU are 8:30am, 12:30pm, 4:30pm, and 8:30pm for 30 minutes for immediate family only.
