Neuroscience Services
Trinity Medical Center’s Neuroscience Lab offers a wide array of Electroneurodiagnostic procedures. Routine studies include the following:
- Electroencephalography (EEG)
- Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) and Electromyography (EMG)
- Transcranial Doppler Sonography (TCD)
- Ambulatory EEG Monitoring
- Evoked Potential Testing (BAEP- Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials; VEP- Visual Evoked Potentials; SEP- Somatosensory Evoked Potentials)
- Intraoperative Monitoring (IOM) Services (includes EEG monitoring during Carotid Artery Surgeries; IOM during spine surgeries in the form of Surgical Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SSEP), Transcranial Motor Evoked Potentials (TcMEPS), and Free-Run and Stimulated EMG monitoring during pedicle screw placement)
The Neuroscience Lab team includes four technologists, two of whom are board registered, and four board certified Neurologists.
A pediatric Neurologist covers interpretation of pediatric EEGs.
On-call coverage is provided, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
