Cardiovascular Surgical Unit (CVSU)
The Cardiovascular Surgical Unit (CVSU) at Trinity Medical Center is a thirty-two bed step-down unit dedicated to the care of the patient recovering from open-heart, lung, and vascular surgery. The staff consists of Registered Nurses who have completed extensive training and have achieved advanced certifications. The CVSU is consistently recognized for outstanding patient and physician satisfaction ratings.
The CVSU generally serves adult and geriatric patients.
The CVSU is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our telephone number is (205) 592-5449.
We welcome our patients' family and visitors and recognize their role in recovery. Visiting times are open, however, we ask that visitors help respect our patients' need for rest and privacy by limiting the number of guests at any given visit.
