Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Trinity Medical Center is a nine-bed intensive care unit dedicated to the care of the patient recovering from open-heart, lung, and vascular surgery. The staff consists of Registered Nurses who have completed extensive training and have achieved advanced certifications. The CVICU is consistently recognized for outstanding patient and physician satisfaction ratings.
The CVICU generally serves adult and geriatric patients.
The CVICU is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our telephone number is (205) 592-5350.
We welcome our patients' family and visitors and recognize their role in recovery. Visiting times are 8:30am, 12:30pm, 4:30pm, and 8:30pm. We ask that visitors help respect our patients' need for rest and privacy by limiting the number of guests to two at a time for 30 minutes.
