Trinity Medical Center Announces Nursing Award Recipients

 Birmingham, AL – Trinity Medical Center recently named its Nursing Award winners for 2009.This year’s Patient Choice Award was presented to Becky Isley, RN, Labor & Delivery.   Patients and families nominate nurses for this honor. Isley has been a member of the Trinity staff since 2001. 

The Ida V. Moffett Nursing Excellence Award was presented to Linda Wanninger, RN, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).  This honor is given to a nurse who embodies the spirit of the nursing profession and is based on nominations from colleagues.  Wanninger has been working at Trinity Medical Center since 1993. 

Others receiving Nursing Excellence Awards for outstanding service were: Shannon Butts; Maurice Gray, RN; Carla Hare, RN; Johnetta Johnson, RN;  Debra Watson, RN;  Shannon Utter, RN;  Michael Dean, RN;  Kim Mays, RN; Mary Ann Duncan, RN;  Beverly Sims, RN;  Reba Hawkins; and Zoraida Hernandez.
