Trinity Acquires Powerful GE Healthcare MRI System
Only one of its kind in Alabama
Birmingham, AL — Trinity Medical Center now has the most powerful MR technology with its recent purchase and installation of GE Healthcare’s Discovery MR750 MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) system. This is the only one of its kind in Alabama and Trinity is one of only four hospitals in the southeast to have this technology.
The Discovery MR750’s powerful 3.0T magnet delivers strong whole-body gradients, resulting in fast and highly accurate reproducible scans in high definition, providing physicians the ability to see smaller structures. This powerful technology, coupled with enhanced imaging techniques, helps physicians to make a more confident diagnosis for their patients.
Not every MRI is alike and the Discovery MR750 MRI delivers outstanding images in body, breast, musculoskeletal, neurological, vascular, cardiac and pediatric imaging. The technology will help simplify exams while improving diagnostic quality.
For patients the benefits include increased comfort, reduced exam times, and less need for rescanning due to patient movement.
The addition of this powerful new imaging tool is part of Trinity’s ongoing effort to use the very best technology available, making critical imaging processes as confident and comfortable as possible for patients.
