ERCP ADVANCED TECHNIQUES WORKSHOP SCHEDULED

BIRMINGHAM, AL --- Trinity Medical Center will host an ERCP Advanced Techniques Workshop for GI nurses and assistants on Saturday, August 22 at the hospital. 

The one-day workshop will include observation of a live ERCP case, discussion of duties of the nurse/tech assistant during ERCP, tips and techniques on biliary and pancreatic cannulation and the use of physician controlled wire techniques to improve patient safety and decrease procedure time, and a demonstration of the proper use of the ERCP equipment after a hands-on training session.  Course director will be Kenneth Sigman, MD, Chief of Gastroenterology at Trinity Medical Center. 

This workshop has been approved for 9.0 Contact Hours by the Trinity Medical Center Education Department, an approved provider of continuing education in nursing by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
