Trinity Medical Center

I want to volunteer at Trinity. What do I need to do?

Simply call the volunteer office at 592-1313 and request an application or you can apply online. Once we receive your application, we will call you to schedule an interview with the Director of Volunteers.

When will I be able to start volunteering?

After an interview and a background check, we will send you to hospital orientation. You will then be placed in an area in the hospital and trained on your duties in that area.

How will I know what day I will volunteer?

As a volunteer, you can choose the day most convenient for you to volunteer. We ask that you make a commitment to 4 hours, 1 day a week.

Where will I volunteer in the hospital?

During your interview, we will discuss the areas of service available to volunteers. Then, based on the day and you time you decide to volunteer, we can find a location that you are comfortable with. Volunteers staff areas like Information Desk, Waiting Rooms, Gift Shop, Patient Mail, Nursing, Emergency Room and Office areas.

Do men volunteer too?

Yes, we have great opportunities for men to volunteer.

Is there a fee for membership in the volunteer program?

As a volunteer, you are offered membership in the Trinity Auxiliary. The dues are $5.00 a year. One major focus of the auxiliary is fund-raising for special projects the Auxiliary supports.

Is there a fee to park?

Parking is provided free in our visitor parking area for all volunteers.

What other benefits are there to being a Trinity Volunteer?

Free lunch in our cafeteria on the day you volunteer.
Free flu shot (when available).
Christmas party and a Recognition Banquet (with a gift during National Volunteer Month).
Participation in all hospital programs and events.
