BidShift Program
Trinity Medical Center has partnered with San Diego-based BidShift to implement its web-based program at the hospital which will provide an automated approach for filling open shifts, empowering employees, and supporting effective staffing practices. Trinity Medical Center is the first hospital in Alabama to offer the online program.
“We are so excited to be able to offer this technology to our employees," said Jan Gannon, Trinity's Chief Nursing Officer. "BidShift will effectively level the playing field in terms of being able to view all available shifts and sign up for the ones that meet both the hospital’s and the individual nurse’s needs in a timely way.”
BidShift will help Trinity reduce its use of contract agency personnel and better manage incentives. The web-based program provides staff 24/7 access to view and request all open shifts for which they are qualified. Its introduction streamlines the scheduling of open shifts and expands the medical center’s ability to improve fairness in staff scheduling by making available shifts visible to all qualified staff at the same time.
