PASTORAL CARE: A Ministry of Caring

In a hospital, you can feel vulnerable, afraid or even alone. Trinity Medical Center understands how your spiritual and emotional care is an essential part of your healing process. Our Chaplains are available to you and your loved ones during your time here.
Trinity Medical Center is a faith-based hospital. Our facility has a long tradition of helping our patients utilize their faith and religious traditions as resources in health and wellness. Our employees reverence the unique expressions of faith and spirituality that you bring to this place.
You will find Trinity Medical Center to be a compassionate, leading-edge place where you may seek wellness in body, mind, and spirit.
Why Call a Chaplain?
Healthcare chaplains are clergy who are professionally trained and certified to work in hospital settings. Our chaplains can help you cope with the personal and spiritual concerns about your health. Maybe you are seeking support for a moment of crisis, change or grief. Or maybe you just want someone to talk with privately - or receive a prayer for comfort and strength.
How Do I Call the Chaplain?
Trinity Medical Center Chaplains are available any time that you are hurting, afraid, or need someone to talk with (24/7). Just ask your nurse for assistance or call the hospital operator and ask for the Chaplain On Call.
Our Employees, Physicians, and Medical Team Members
Trinity Medical Center Chaplains are partners with the entire medical team. Chaplains provide support to our employees, physicians, and other medical staff. Many of the employees and physicians at Trinity are people of faith.
For Community Clergy and Congregations
Trinity Medical Center regards your congregation's ministry as central in supporting patients and their loved ones. Your congregants are entrusted to us and we welcome your presence here. Please contact the Department of Pastoral Care at (205) 592-139 0.
Care for the sick... support for others who work in the healing arts... The healing gift of love and caring... These things we do as a witness to the love of God.
