Patient Menu
Wholesome, nourishing and well-balanced meals are an important part of your treatment and recovery. Trinity Medical Center makes every effort to provide nutritious meals that are prepared according to your physician's orders.
 
Patients are provided with our menu according to their physician's diet order. Food requests are checked to see if they meet the physician's instructions to assure correct food for your condition and status.  If your physician orders a restricted diet, it is important that you follow the diet as part of your treatment in the hospital.
You may choose to change the menu that has been planned for your specific diet by following these easy steps:
     • Select the menu items you would like for Breakfast, Lunch or Supper
     • Call the food service department at extension 1142 between 6 am and 3 pm to place your order.
     • Snacks and supplements between meals, as allowed within diet guidelines, can be ordered by a physician or dietitian.

To assure your safety, we will accept your menu selection only after your physician has entered your diet order.  If you do not call for an alternate menu selection, a meal planned specifically for your type diet will be served to you.

Delayed Meals
Occasionally, your meals may be changed, delayed or canceled due to X-rays, laboratory tests, surgery or special procedures ordered by your physician. After we are notified of your return to your room, your meal will be served.

Therapeutic Diets
The diet that your physician has prescribed for you may be modified in content. This may include limits in salt, fat, sugar or calories as well as modifications in consistency such as soft, ground or pureed. A Registered Dietitian is readily available to consult with you to address your questions or concerns. If the need arises, please ask your nurse to contact a Dietitian.

Guest Trays
For a fee guests may also order a meal to be delivered to your room. Guest meals are paid for in the Business Office located on the ground floor. The Business Office then notifies Food Service of your request for a guest meal.

Cafeteria
Your family and friends are welcome to use the Trinity Medical Center cafeteria. We offer a variety of entrees and vegetables. Sandwiches and a salad bar are also available.

                                        Monday – Friday
Breakfast                     7:00 am until 9:00 am
Snacks                       Available throughout the day (7 am until 6 pm)
Lunch                         11:00 am until 2:00 pm
Supper                         4:00 pm until 6:00 pm

Vending Machines
Coffee, Soda, Snack and Food Machines are available 24 hours a day in the Cafeteria.

Outside Food Service
Your nutrition is closely monitored while you are in our care. For this reason please notify your nurse if you receive food other than your prescribed meal service. Foods other than your prescribed diet may conflict with your physician's order, your diet or medications.
